We are styling up the Check Blazer in our first ever 3 Ways To Wear, which aims to show you how to style up key pieces in different ways to help you maximise your wardrobe.
Wearing something that looks like your best pair of pyjamas outside of the house probably isn’t something you’ve ever thought about, but pyjama’s as daywear are having a moment. Now it’s easy to see how that works if you’re young, hip and happen to be a street style star, but how is everyone else meant to wear them?
Personally, I think wearing the look head-to-toe takes a certain kind of confidence, but I definitely think this trend can be adapted by wearing the separates with other things. For example, you could add a silky pyjama top to some jeans and heels or you could opt for some silky pyjama trousers worn with a shirt and leather jacket. If you want to wear as a suit but don’t feel like you can carry off a bold print, then opt for monochrome or darker colours.
Finally, if you do go for the printed head-to-toe look, the key to not looking like you’re wearing your pyjama’s is paring it with statement heels and luxe accessories. With so many different ways to wear them, everyone can join the (pyjama) party.

With the 70’s trend continuing into autumn/winter the wide leg trouser looks set to be the must-have shape of the season. I’ve always liked a wide leg trouser, there’s something chic and stylish about them. Maybe it’s the fact you have to wear them with a heel, or that they can be incredibly leg lengthening, which always makes me feel that way when I wear them. Or maybe it’s because I’m a pear body shape and a wide leg is a great way to bring balance to my silhouette.
The good news is a wide leg is also great for apple and hourglass body shapes. The key is choosing the best fabric, colour and style for your body shape. Pears look great in high waisted styles and should stick to clean lines and darker colours to minimise your bottom half. Apples can experiment with colour and print and should look for flat fronted, semi low rise styles with some stretch for comfort. Hourglass body shapes are pretty balanced on top and bottom, but a wide leg will emphasise your great waist so look for high waisted styles in tailoring that move with your curves.
From tailored trousers, kicked flare and culottes there is a wide leg trouser style for everyone, which means we can all give them a try this autumn/winter and beyond!
