If ever there was a colour that grabs attention it’s red, which is why so many of us find it daunting to wear. As I’ve said before there’s the perfect red for everyone and it’s all about wearing it with confidence.

In this last instalment of 3 WAYS TO WEAR I’m styling up my H&M red trousers from SS17, which have become one of my wardrobe staples. I’m styling them up in some of my favourite red colour combinations: head-to-toe red, denim and neutral tones of cream, beige and caramel which create the right amount of “look at me (I’m wearing red)" but in a “I’m not making a big deal about it” way.

I hope it inspires you to give red a go, I promise you won't look back if you do.

Red is set to be the colour for A/W15, which is handy for me as I’ve become a little obsessed with it lately. I already know my scarlet red Topshop Boutique coat (which I bagged in the summer sales) is going to be a star player in my autumn/winter wardrobe this year. Wearing red head-to-toe isn’t for everyone, put even a splash of it has real impact. Camel is a great neutral to wear with red and always looks expensive. Khaki and red is also another great combination, as is denim and grey. If wearing it feels too much, you can incorporate it into your wardrobe through accessories and of course nothing finishes an outfit off more than a red nail or lip. Whatever way you choose to wear red, it will brighten your look on those dull autumn/winter days.
